Resorts and Lodges

RALBook Continues to Grow, Improve

NewHomepageSearch

ResortsandLodges.com continues to be an innovator in the leisure travel site, and a recent release on the website will now allow travelers to search by a property’s availability throughout the site, an extension of the RALBook Availability Search and online booking feature.

More than 10 million annual travelers on ResortsandLodges.com are now able to search by availability directly on the homepage, as well as on the state-level pages in the United States.  All of this is possible thanks to the release of the RALBook Availability Search in early 2014, a feature that allows properties to sell their open rooms directly on ResortsandLodges.com for industry-low commission rates.

Early Online Booking Results
ResortsandLodges.com officially launched online booking functionality in January when Willow Point Resort, located in Buchanan, Texas, first offered online booking for its 23 cabins and lake houses.  Since that time, more than 300 individual properties have signed on to sell their open rooms on ResortsandLodges.com through the RALBook Availability Search.

There are currently more than 10,500 individual units (vacation rentals, cabins, cottages, chalets, guest rooms, etc.) able to be booked on ResortsandLodges.com, with more properties being added to the mix on a daily basis.  Thanks to API connections with companies like Barefoot Technologies, The Vacation Bridge (Virtual Resort Manager and Rental Network Software), Genares, Escapia (HomeAway for Business), InnLink, and more, properties that currently use these booking software options are able to seamlessly upload their available rooms through ResortsandLodges.com.

Recent Website Update
Although travelers have only been able to search via availability directly on the ResortsandLodges.com homepage, the early results speak for themselves.  Since the most recent website release, travelers have searched by availability more than 850 times per day, an increase of nearly 820 searches per day.

This number is expected to increase exponentially as travelers become more familiar with ResortsandLodges as an OTA for leisure travel AND as properties continue to add their open rooms to the RALBook Availability Search.

“Offering the ability to book available rooms directly on ResortsandLodges.com was a big step for us, but we are not satisfied yet.  We want to offer travelers the opportunity to book unique accommodations located anywhere in the world, and book them from any device,” said CEO Ryan Bailey.  “By continuing to extend our availability network across the globe, we are positioning ourselves as a major player in the leisure travel segment of the hospitality and travel industries.”
